Jonah K. Menson is a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology professional with over three years of hands-on experience in computer networking, database management, web development, and system design. He also lectures at Modern University College (MUC) in Paynesville, where he instructs students in programming languages such as Python, C, and C++, as well as database systems including SQL and MS Access. His teaching encompasses general computer literacy, covering operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and foundational IT concepts.
Alongside his academic contributions, Jonah works as a Part-Time IT Officer at Global Technology Group in Monrovia. His responsibilities include configuring hardware and software, setting up computers for end-users, managing network cabling, and delivering professional IT training courses covering database management, computer networking, programming, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Jonah is also deeply involved in community service, volunteering as the Website Developer and Database Manager for the Liberian Community in Rwanda (LIBCOR). In 2017, he contributed as a Voter Registration Clerk for the Liberia National Elections Commission, helping organize registration centers, verifying eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth registration process for citizens.
Jonah earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinct Honors (First Class) in Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) with emphasis in Information Technology-Networking from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK), Rwanda, complemented by his high school diploma and WAEC Certificate from St. Francis Catholic High School. He has also attained multiple professional certifications, including CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Full-Stack Development, Ethical Hacking Essentials, and Python for Data Science, alongside numerous teaching methodology certificates.
Throughout his career, Jonah has led the development of numerous information systems, including a Hotel Management System, a Student Incident Response System, a Front Desk and Visitor Management System, a Pension and Tax Management System, a Student LiveClass platform, and comprehensive School Management Systems for institutions such as Bible Way Mission School and Modern University College. These initiatives have enhanced operational efficiency, improved security, and streamlined administrative processes.
Jonah’s contributions have been recognized with a Certification of Recognition from the Liberian Community in Rwanda for his exceptional service, as well as the Innovation and Technology Award for his significant impact on technological advancement within the community.
